SOLID FOUNDATION

Our Yoga Teacher Training program is led by Courtney Willis, one of Napa Valley’s most experienced and beloved yoga teachers.

Courtney has thousands of hours of teaching experience and brings a unique approach to her teachings. She is known for her depth, clarity, sense of humor, and compassionate presence with students.

In addition, throughout your training you will be joined by guest teachers who are experts in their fields to deepen your understanding of such topics as anatomy, Ayurveda, and the history of yoga, including beloved Napa Valley Yoga Center teachers Jan Miller, Robin Wilner, Amy Hall and more.

Napa Valley Yoga Center’s Yoga Teacher Training program is designed to prepare you to teach and practice intelligently, safely, and with confidence. We have been evolving and refining our program for years to exceed Yoga Alliance requirements for yoga teacher certification. We’re the longest running, most established Yoga Teacher Training program in Napa Valley.

Upon completion of our 200-hour program you will have the knowledge, awareness, and confidence to step into the role of yoga teacher. We offer guidance to place our teachers in opportunities where they can share their gifts: in regularly scheduled classes, in private yoga sessions, as substitute teachers, and in resort yoga throughout Napa Valley.

In addition, our training is well suited for those who may not be interested in teaching, but simply have the desire to deepen their own understanding and practice of yoga.

Teacher Training at Napa Valley Yoga Center was a totally transformative experience. The well-rounded program including yoga history and philosophy along with asana, adjustments, and sequencing gave me all I was looking for in a Teacher Training and more. Not only are the teachers phenomenal, the community of yogis is unparalleled, a true community feel.” –Kelsey, Spring 2018 graduate
