Vinyasa yoga

The practice of Yoga came into my life at a point when I was searching for more health awareness, greater freedom of movement and ultimately to create a more fulfilling life. I was inspired by my older sister who had been practicing for a few years, she always talked about her Yoga practice as healthy, invaluable training for her mind and fulfillment to her spirit. At that point I didn’t quite understand what she meant, but I was intrigued and eventually became curious enough to try it, so I decided to start my regular practice. I quickly discovered that for me, this practice would be a life-long joyful journey as it is for many others.

After a year and a half of daily Asana practice, I felt like needed more personal instruction from an experienced and certified teacher, I was also in search for a deeper understanding of the practice. On September of 2014, I decided to take a teacher training with Courtney Willis at Rev Yoga in Napa. This intensive training gave me the experience and awareness that I was searching for and more, it opened doors to a world of endless possibilities I had yet to explore, both physically and spiritually. Now I understood what my sister meant two years ago. I think Yoga is a very powerful practice because it helps one take an active role in one’s overall health.

I believe that being a good teacher also means being a good student, I am thankful for my teachers and thankful for my students from which I always learn. As a teacher, I hope to guide students into a more joyful and fulfilling physical journey (even if it’s just for an hour), and to aid in the opening of their own door to spiritual growth.
