I was first introduced to yoga by Amy. She lured me to a class by telling me it ends with a little nap. Who could refuse? Twelve years later Amy is now my wife and I have discovered that the benefits of yoga beyond savasana are unending (although that is still one of my favorite –and most challenging– poses).
I have been a chef in Napa Valley for over 30 years. For me to be able to find a way to quiet my mind and relax my body was a life changer. I have found that my practice is not about whether I can put my leg behind my head but rather finding calmness in breath with each pose.
