Hatha yoga

The saying goes “When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.” In retrospect, I can undoubtedly say that my “teacher” found me when I needed it most. In 2015, during a tumultuous time in my life, yoga knocked on my door. I embraced the traditional practice of Ashtanga Yoga and quickly became thirsty for more every time I stepped onto my mat. My mat felt like home where I could be myself – physically, mentally, and spiritually. I believe yoga is a mirror of truth. It meets us where we are – physically, mentally and spiritually. Yoga does not discriminate, judge or condemn. It enlightens, uplifts and challenges us to show up every single day with a beginner’s mind. It’s for everyone; students who have just started to scratch the surface of self-exploration, those willing to swim the depths of their soul and anyone in between. Every day I choose to get on my mat, I am choosing self-love, self-exploration, and self healing. I am choosing to love myself because I believe that I cannot love or care for another unless I love and care for myself first. Yoga is self-love.

As a graduate of the Napa Valley Yoga Center 200-hour Yoge Teacher Training, I guide students who want to experience the power of self-love, self-healing, and self-exploration. My teaching style is a balance of sthira and sukha – steadiness and ease. It comes from the heart. While alignment is always something to be mindful of – I am more concerned with your connection to your breath, how it feels and where your mind goes. When you get to know me, you will quickly learn I wear my heart on my sleeve and am not afraid to be vulnerable. Life is about connection and spreading love. My dharma is to share the gift of yoga and holistic health. May you flourish in your truth so that you may shine even brighter and spread your light and love, making the world a better place. Yoga is the gift that keeps on giving.
