I got into yoga as I was “maturing” and wanted to work on having more flexibility in my body. But I discovered so much more – along with increased flexibility, yoga has improved my posture, increased my overall body strength, and relieved my occasional lower back pain. And the postures, along with yogic breathing exercises and meditations, have also brought me more energy and vitality and helped with stress relief. I decided to become a yoga teacher to share these positive benefits and completed my teacher training in an intensive program, which included chair modifications for most basic postures, at Ananda School of Yoga & Meditation. Through my years of practicing and teaching yoga, I know personally that yoga can help everyone have a happier, healthier mind and body!
